Gear up, food fans. Birmingham chef Chris Hastings’s appearance on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” may be the closest you’ll get to a culinary national championship.
The Hot and Hot Fish Club owner will battle it out with native New Yorker and Iron Chef Bobby Flay. While the details of the episode, which was filmed last July, remain top secret, we do know Hastings took with him two assistants: Rob McDaniel, the executive chef at Lake Martin’s SpringHouse restaurant, for which Hastings is the culinary advisor, and former chef de cuisine at Hot and Hot Fish Club Sedesh Boodram.
All will be revealed at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26.
